Q: Are the jumping castles clean and in good condition?
We have a team of cleaners that clean, disinfects, and inspects our jumping castles and water slides after each rental. The condition of our entire range of jumping castles gets rated every week to ensure that our clients received only the best quality inflatables. We want you to be comfortable in knowing that you are providing your family and guests with fresh and hygienic rental products.
Q: Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?
Yes you are. However, you must bear in mind that you are in charge and must ensure that people who use the castle are safe. You must not overload the castle to try to make extra money. As the hirer you are liable for any damages.
Q: Who are you and what do you do?
We are Jump & Bounce and we are Cape Town’s favourite Jumping Castles hire company. We hire Jumping castles and slides to families and event organisers in and around Cape Town.
Q: How do you inflate a Jumping castle when you deliver it? Will I be able to put it down?
Our Jumping castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged into a suitable socket in your house or outbuilding. Long extension cables and power breakers are needed so that you don't need a socket nearby. To deflate the castle, simply unplug the fan and it will slowly collapse (make sure nobody is using the castle at the time!).
Q: What kind of access do you need when you deliver the castle?
The castles are wheeled into position using a sack trolley. The bouncy castle on the trolley, rolled up, is about the size of a wheelie bin. Therefore, we will need a standard size path and standard size doorways to get the castle into your garden or venue. If you have a lot of steps or a tight entrance way, please let us know so that we can arrange alternative access if required.
Q: Are Your Jumping Castles safe to use?
Our Jumping Castles are all safety-rated and exceed industry safety standards. This means that they are built with safety in mind, using the latest in high-security designs. Please refer to all the instructions and guidelines listed on our rental agreement or terms & conditionsand on the unit itself. It is important that all users follow the rules listed on the Rental agreement and the Indemnity on the Castles.

Q: Is there a deposit required to book a Jumping Castle?
No. We do not require a deposit to book your Jumping Castles. Your rental is secured as soon as you fill out the online rental application form, and receive an e-mail confirming your booking (within 24 hours) from Jump & Bounce Jumping Castles. Be sure to also check your “inbox/junk” folders for our reply!
Q: What types of payment do you accept?
The payment can be paid in cash or EFT. We do not accept credit or cheque debit at this time. Payment is required when the Jumping Castle is picked up/delivered.
Q: How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?
The dimensions of our castles are shown on each product page. Please also allow an additional 1/2 metre at the back for the fan, another 1/2 at the front for a safety mat and a further 30 centimetres each side of the castle (although side space is not as important).
Q: My party is today or tomorrow, can I book at this short notice?
Perhaps, yes! If we have units available we will do our best to help you.
Q: Can the bouncy castles go indoors?
Yes, all our bouncy castles are suitable for indoor use. Just remember to check the height of the ceiling against the height of the bouncy castle to ensure that the ceiling is high enough. Please view the details of the Jumping Castle you are interested in to get space requirements.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
Our office line is open from 9am to 9pm, 7 days a week. We also deliver bouncy castles 7 days a week, however special arrangement should be made for delivery on Sundays.
Q: How much notice do I need to give to book a castle?
As much notice as possible. At peak times we get fully booked about 3 weeks in advance so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: Do you charge for cancellation?
In most cases we don't charge a cancellation fee, so long as you give us some notice so that we can hire the castle out to somebody else. If you need to cancel your rental for unforeseen circumstances, we ask that you please provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice.
Q: What are the appropriate ages for the bouncy castles?
Children up to the age of 14.
Q: When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?
The delivery person will completely set up the castle, give you a demonstration on how to use it safely and then leave it in your control. When we turn up to collect the castle, we will also dismantle it.
Q: What if it rains?
We do not allow our castles to be used in the rain. So if you feel that the rain is going to spoil your day, you can cancel free of charge as long as you phone us before at least 2 hours in advance.
Q: Is it okay to put a bouncy castle on my lawn, will it cause much damage?
We actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawn area. For safety reasons we must hammer in 4 - 6 securing pegs to hold the castle down during use. The holes left over from the securing pegs will disappear after a few days.
Q: Are your units safe? Will you teach me how to have a safe day of fun?
Yes, unlike other operators all our jumping castles are safe. They have been engineered and tested to the highest possible safety standards.
Q: How many children can fit on a bouncy castle?
A: Generally speaking, between 6 and 12 children at one time. This really depends on the size of the users and the castle. The hire team will be able to provide more information on this.
Q: Can I set up a jumping castle indoors?
Definitely! Our Jumping Castles are perfect entertainment for any kind of function held indoors as long as there is sufficient space. Please view the details of the Jumping Castle you are interested in to get space requirements.
Q: How long will I spend picking up and dropping off jumping castles?
If you come prepared for your pick up you will spend 5-10 minutes. At drop off you will spend 5-10 minutes as we will set up the castle and inspect it.
Q: What if I have a problem or question during my rental period?
We will go over all questions/setup instructions before your rental starts. If you come across a question/problem during your rental you can contact us by phone or e-mail.
